Lambda Nu Omega Chapter is located in Waukegan, IL. We are located in the northern suburbs of Chicago, IL. We were distinguished as the first African American Sorority in Lake County Illinois, upon our charter on May 27, 1977.
Annually, our commitment of “Service to All Mankind” begins in January with our Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, followed by various projects throughout the year that address the current program initiatives. Lambda Nu Omega Chapter continues to serve the entrepreneurial, economic, social, physical and mental health needs of the under served people within the Lake County area.
Lambda Nu Omega holds two major fundraisers each year to fulfill to our commitment of Scholarship and Service throughout the community. Our Legends Brunch and AKABowl have become a staple in the community. Both events are well attended by the community and many members of the Divine Nine.
