Lambda Nu Omega Chapter is headquartered in Waukegan, IL, located within the northern suburbs of Chicago. LNO made history on May 27, 1977, by becoming the first African American Sorority to be chartered in Lake County, Illinois.
Our Service
Annually, our commitment to “Service to All Mankind” begins in January with our Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, followed by various projects throughout the year that address the current program initiatives. Lambda Nu Omega Chapter continues to serve the entrepreneurial, economic, social, physical, and mental health needs of underserved communities within Lake County.
Our Fundraisers
Lambda Nu Omega holds at least two fundraisers each year to fulfill our commitment to scholarship and service throughout the community. Our Mother’s Day Event and AKABowl have become staples in the community. Both events draw patrons from a large and diverse population of the community.
